Browser storage

Cookie policy

The site uses browser-local history separately from storage that Google services may use for measurement, advertising and consent choices.

Last reviewed:

Four distinct storage categories

The relevant categories are optional local tool history, audience measurement, advertising and ad measurement, and preference or consent-choice storage. Security and invalid-traffic protection can also use technical identifiers.

The local tool record belongs to this generator. Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense Auto ads and Google Privacy & Messaging (CMP) provide the separate Google services described below.

Optional local tool history

When history is enabled, local storage can remember up to 300 draws on the device: generated letters, pool size, the repeat rule and a time marker. It does not store the custom set or exclusions and is not sent automatically with web requests as a cookie would be.

Use Clear History to remove this record. The current page can still generate letters if storage is blocked, although history may not persist.

Google cookies and similar storage

Google Analytics 4 may use analytics cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish browsers and sessions and measure visits and engagement. Google AdSense Auto ads and eligible advertising providers may use advertising storage and identifiers for delivery, frequency control, measurement, security, invalid-traffic prevention and personalization where choices permit it.

Google Privacy & Messaging (CMP) may store consent status and purpose or vendor choices and communicate those signals to Google and participating providers. Exact storage names and durations can change with the Google services, region and applicable message.

Accept, refuse, manage and revisit choices

When the Google Privacy & Messaging message applies, use its controls to accept, refuse or manage purposes and vendors. The message is not promised to appear to every visitor.

After a choice, use Google’s “Privacy and cookie settings” control when it is displayed to reopen the message and change or withdraw the choice. Browser site-data settings can clear stored Google identifiers and choices as a fallback, although that can also clear local history and may make the message appear again.

Generator data is not advertising or analytics storage

Chosen letters, exclusions, custom sets, results and local history are not sent to Analytics and are not used in event content, a page URL, parameters or custom dimensions. They are also not written into advertising or consent storage by the application.
